January Bead Journal Project and More........

Here is my January Bead Journal Project.  The center bead is hand blown glass with sterling silver inlay. This square measures 5 X5.  This second peice is hand embroidered and the first solid piece that I have beaded.  What do you think?

    Wow! I thought the blue was good. But the red just pops right out at you. I love the color contrasts and the cording you used. Very dramatic effect.

    I love solidly beaded pieces, even though they take so much more time and are so HEAVY! There's just something so lush and sensuous about them. You did a lovely job with this one :-)

    One is near encrusted and the other IS encrusted -- that's incredible at 5x5. They are both very, very pretty!

    Thank you ALL so much. I could not get a proper picture of the blue to show all the little details. But there are a lot of little layers of felt and beading.

    These are both lovely! For many years I encrusted fabric with solid beading. Now, I'm in a phase of allowing a lot of the fabric to show as part of the whole. Both are good.

    I find the diagonal line and colors in your second piece to be very compelling, dramatic and pleasing! When I clicked to enlarge the blue piece, I could see the felt and bits of embellishment you added. It would be a fun piece to touch! Good work altogether!
